Key Generator

By default, each XLSafe file created will be protected with the built-in  hardware activation system. This means  that when the XLSafe file is opened from external PCs an activation screen will appear as follows:

A unique "request key" will be created based on the hardware configuration of the computer. In order to be able to access the contents of the file, the user will need to enter the correct activation key.

The  user will need to click on the "Send Activation Requestl" button to send this "request key" to the license administrator.

You can provide users with activation keys by using the XLSafe built-in key generator. To access the key generator, open the XLSafe protection panel and click on the button 'Open key Generator'.  

The following screen will appear:

To create an activation key, simply paste the request key provided by the user and click on the button 'Obtain activation key'.

Once the user enters the correct activation key, the contents of the spreadsheet will be revealed.

Subsequently,the contents of the spreadsheet will be protected according to your specified options.
