Activating XLSafe PRO
Before being able to use XLSafe PRO you need to activate the software on your computer.
Follow the steps below to activate the software:
1. Close down all Microsoft Excel files and open a new instance of the Microsoft ® Excel application.
2. Install the "XLSafe PRO Add-in" which is located in "C:\DataSafeXL\XLSafe PRO\" folder. If you are not familiar with Microsoft ® Excel Add-ins, then follow these instructions.
When the add-in is installed successfully the XLSafe PRO splash screen will appear momentarily and a new menu labelled as 'XLSafe PRO Admin' will be created on the Microsoft ® Excel toolbar.

Note: For Microsoft ® Excel 2007-2010, the 'XLSafe PRO Admin' menu will appear in the 'Add-ins' tab of the ribbon interface of Microsoft ® Excel 2007. |
3. Click on the 'XLSafe PRO Admin"' menu and choose the option 'Activate XLSafe PRO...'.

Note: At this point you might receive a message about "Trust Access to the VBA project". You must follow the additional instructions and then return to this activation guide.

4. The activation process will launch automatically. The following activation screen will appear:
5. Press the button "Send Activation Request". An input prompt will appear where you need to enter your e-mail address and the registration code you have received from us.

Note: If you are using the demo version of XLSafe PRO you will not be required to enter a registration code and the software will automatically register on your machine. |
6. At this point you should receive a message that your activation request was sent successfully. You will shortly receive a reply to the e-mail address you specified in step 5 with your activation key.
Once you receive your activation key, copy it and press the button 'Paste from clipboard' to automatically insert this in the activation key field.
Subsequently, press the 'Activate' button. A confirmation message will appear stating that the activation was successful:
7. You must close Microsoft Excel completely and re-open it, in order to start creating new XLSafe PRO files.
